Gather a few things

One large sheet of paper and age-rated chunky crayons; a grown-up pen.

Let’s play

1. A grown-up folds the sheet once to make four drawing surfaces, without fasteners.
2. Invite your toddler to decorate the front.
3. On the inside, add a drawing and a short grown-up-written hello message.
4. Finish with a goodbye picture and read the whole little book together.

Notice front, inside, and back as you turn the page together.

Keep a little memory

Add the date and keep the book or give it to a familiar loved one.

Make it work for your child

One decorated page can be the entire book. Your toddler can dictate, point, or simply choose a color.
